Guest mjmarrio Report post Posted 07/14/2004 08:12 AM Does anyone know much about JTAPI? The sales blurb for the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise system states that CSTA and JTAPI are supported. As far as I know a computer application can connect to the CSTA port number on the PABX and send commands (CSTA services) or monitor events. However I am not clear how JTAPI works. Is it that JTAPI encapsulates CSTA commands in the java class files so that they can be compiled in with the application? Or is it that there is another service running on the PABX to support connection from a JTAPI application? Thanks in advance for any pearls of wisdom. Share this post Link to post
